Goldgeier is a gold-digging game for 1 to 4 players. It's a conversion of an original German boardgame (available at www.yungames.de). It can be played alone or with up to 4 players. Each player digs down that mine and tries to find as much gold as possible. To go up or down you need ladders which you can purchase in the store. Sometimes, a spot is blocked by rocks. You can blow them up using the dynamite, also available in the store. And then there's water. You need a diving-suit to pass that. Also available in the store. The boots are especially useful, you can walk faster with them. Or the backpack, which enables you to carry more ladders. Choose wisely what you purchase, since those items are quite expensive stuff. Remember: The player with the most gold wins at the end. It's tricky and it's fun!
It's dangerous: Somewhere in the deeper parts of the mine, there are hidden explosions. Be careful when digging there, bring back your gold before going down again. But hey, no risk no fun! Or wait until other players "discovered" them ;-)
Simple rules, endless possibilities ... The game shows all possible actions: There are buttons that can be clicked with the mouse. The rules are simple and can be viewed at any time, even during the game. Clearing that mine is not easy: If you play alone, your steps cost valuable gold, so it likely that you run out of gold before everything is discovered. On the other hand, when playing with other players, each one wants to find the gold first.
The adventure begins. The second screenshot shows a game with three players after a few turns. You can see that some spots (grey) are already discovered. The blue player already has 21 nuggets in his safe (blue safe on the right), while the yellow player only has 7 nuggets. Most of the passages are blocked with rocks, so some dynamite is needed here. Also the first few water-ponds are discovered. Is the diving-suit really needed? Check the next picture...
You can see that the red player tried to dig down deep. He has found some valuable treasures - there are 22 nuggets in his safe and he is carrying 26 more (statistics of red player in the red box on the right side: shows ladders carried, dynamite carried, gold carried and gold in safe). The blue players really needs the diving-suit to go down further. The yellow player is also somewhere deeper inside the mine. Will he be lucky?
